Signal - Private Messenger App Reviews

Good!

Pretty decent. But now applications like Whatsapp has encryption. Interested in seeing how they compare!

The gold standard for secure messaging

Bulletproof encryption, stable and easy to use interface, recommended by Edward Snowden, what more can I say!

The best

If its good enough for Snowden, its good enough for me. Cant wait for desktop version!

Perfect!

Exactly what I need to communicate with customers and coworkers securely.

Buggy and overrated

Does not show all my contacts and no way to invite them.

Outstanding

First iOS app Ive encountered that prevents automatic screenshots when scrolling to other open apps. Very well done.

My go to messenger!

I use this app for texting and calling.

Doesnt work! :(

The app wont even text me a verification code and just crashes. Ive tried downloading it several times and tried to resend my phone the code. Poor experience!

Great app for secure voice call on mobile

The first free app for secure voice call for mobile platform. Everyone now can have their conservation private. Call quality is good.

Very nice!

I cant speak to the apps overall security. And I do find registering my phone number, and allowing access to my contacts to be more than a little off-putting... But it works, and I can use it with non-technical friends. Will it stop the NSA, nah... Will people now know you have something you are trying to hide, sure... but we all get logged anyway, so I dont care. What I do know, is that —at least for now —it stops local cops from abusing power (they should never have had in the first place). And that pisses them off… and until that sort of unchecked abuse of our rights ends, we need Signal and the people behind it

Good; needs work though

This is truly an awesome and amazing app. There are a few bugs that should be addressed to make it better. If youre patient with it, it will become a basic fundamental part of your "safe" communications with others.

Awesome job guys!!!

For people crying about contact access, contacts are hashed. Nobody sees the actual contacts. The code is open source and any questions can be asked on the devs site. Do some research before writing inaccurate reviews.

Good but...

The most annoying part of this app is when the messages refuse to send. There isnt a resend or retry option. Sometimes it takes me turning off and on my phone multiple times to get it to work.

Cant speak to the apps quality because it doesnt work

I should have to troubleshoot an app after first downloading it. It didnt permit me to send a message and when I shared my contacts, it didnt import all of them. Of the contacts it did import many were duplicated.

Awesome!

I love the security and ease of use.

Bueno

This app is superb for having private conversations on due to the encryption. 10/10 reccomend.

Essential

Anyone using technology should understand its advantages and disadvantages. Securing your communications is no longer a luxury, its essential for all consumers.

Better and safe.

I love this app, easier and safer than whats app.

Awesome

Love this app. Works great!

Who knows,...

In todays world do we really know if this works or not? There is no way to tell. If it works as described, and so far has been easy to use, thats great. The key here is to stop putting your life online for the entire world to see. It would be great if somehow you could tell if the thing works as described. In any event it seems better than other apps out there.
