Great app, but it needs some improvements including: 1. TouchID support 2. Ability to send messages and make calls simultaneously 3. Ability to recall any sent message 4. Ability to create polls 5. Audio conference calling 6. Video calling 7. Video conference calling 8. iPad/universal app support

To the people complaining about address book - unlike other similar apps the address book does not get sent to openwhisper - bloom filter is used instead (look it up). This is at least some compensation for the truly horrendous UI.

Im in UAE and cant verify my number. Took 10 minutes to get an Sms sent and now times out when trying to submit code.

Open Whisper Systems finally updated this app! Signal is the best default E2E encrypted messaging app out there. Keep up the great work!

The app is simple, straightforward and safe. Now I can spam my friends with idiotic gifs in total secrecy. Thank you signal!

This is truly an awesome and amazing app. There are a few bugs that should be addressed to make it better. If youre patient with it, it will become a basic fundamental part of your "safe" communications with others. One other thing, we need to be able to use phone & text simultaneously....

I value my privacy so value this app. Now and again I see a bug but it gets more stable with each timely release. Generate a number through various means and use that instead of your own.

Excellent app and its open-source! Itd be perfect if it had app extension.

Great app from a legendary developer

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Tried turning phone on and off. Tried on wifi and on cellular. In the US. Get the SMS code just fine, goes nowhere past that.

The title says it all :-)

When I open the contacts tab it crashes and closes. Also I cannot pick up calls and have to call everyone back. Many calls also cant connect. But with some effort it works, wouldnt mind if the creators could fix these rough edges though :)

Use it all the time for private chating e encrypted calls. So much better than whatsapp to thar end. Recommended.

I love this application. I am student of encryption and understand perfectly the beauty, safety and utility behind. however always thought that developers (my heroes) were not graphically emphasize the security afforded. This latest version the design was absolutely confused, trying to be minimalist. Please change this design and information architecture! Make the application more clear! Dont try to be soo minimalist

Where this Touch ID??

An interesting alternative of messenger. Still, there are some improvements to be done. Touch ID authentication might be interesting.
